Saints Middle School XC Teams Victorious At Shelby 78 Championships

The Saints ran their best races of the season Tuesday at the Shelby 78 Championships!

The Middle School boys placed 2nd in the Shelby league with Bryce Wiggington, Drew Madigan, and Wilson Conway all medaling by placing in the top 25 overall. The top five for BCS were rounded out by Nathanial Shaw and Max Cooper with solid runs.

Wyatt McGaskill, Vailen Howell, Holden Danjowicz, Ryder Hagstrom, Henry Kirby, Brandon Grant, Cooper Lockhart, Harrison McElveen, and Reed Pennington all pushed the Saints to their season’s best finish. Cory Easterling, Max Hatley, Andrew Painter, and Mason Payne set personal records and had top finishes througout the season.

The Middle School girls team won 1st place in dramatic fashion by having the top three overall finishers, Melaya Weisner, Elizabeth Ganier, and Harper Wheeler. Clara Pieh was in the mix with Kylie Guydon, Maddie McKeithen, Kylie Gilliland, and Lydia Chief all medaling as well. Ellie Reece Hatley and Mary Collins Tolbert set personal bests as well as having top finishes this season.

The Girls team will be traveling to Knoxville for the Tennessee State Championship this Saturday. Drew Madigan qualified as well and will represent the saints as we take on the best in the state.
