Briarcrest Senior Jovie Favati Signs to Play LAX at Lees-McRae College

Jovie Favati, a four-year starting goalie signed her letter of intent to play Women’s Lacrosse for Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, North Carolina. Jovie has played lacrosse for Briarcrest Christian School since 4^th grade. It wasn’t until 8^th grade when she realized her heart was in the position to play goalie. Unfortunately, Covid struck, and she couldn’t play but that didn’t stop her from getting outside and practicing.

Her following years in high school, Coach Cavins made her the starting goalie. Her sophomore year, she made the State Tennessee Team. Jovie also played lacrosse goalie for the Memphis Lax Green Team for four years and played in many different tournaments in several different states. Jovie is also a member of the Key Club, Wilson’s Society, and maintains a weighted GPA over 4.0.  Congratulations!
